Prescribed infusions in Geelong

If a doctor has prescribed an infusion for you, Fjör can administer it. A nurse-led clinic built for prescriber-directed IV therapy.

How it works

Any validly prescribed infusion, administered properly

Our named services are only part of what we do. Fjör administers any infusion that has been validly prescribed by a medical practitioner, including specialist protocols and less common therapies, under a patient-specific written authorisation.

The pathway is always the same. Your doctor prescribes and provides a written order, your pharmacy dispenses the medication, and you bring it with you. Your nurse checks the order, verifies the medication, administers it as directed, monitors you throughout, and reports back to your doctor.

If you or your doctor are unsure whether we can accommodate a particular order, call us on 0493 016 456 and we will confirm quickly.

Common questions

FAQs

What kinds of infusions can you administer?

Any infusion a medical practitioner has validly prescribed, within the scope of registered nursing practice. That includes vitamin and nutrient infusions, specialist-directed therapies and other IV medicines. If you are unsure, call us and we will confirm.

Can I just book in for an infusion I've read about?

Not without a prescription. Infusions of prescription medicines are only given on a doctor's order; this protects you. Talk to your GP or specialist first, and once a prescription exists we can look after the rest.

Do you choose or recommend infusions?

No. Doctors prescribe; nurses administer. We never select or tailor treatments, and your nurse administers exactly what your doctor has ordered.
